RTT and Parenthood

Parenthood is one of the biggest challenges we face in our lives. Some of us face those challenges even before becoming parents, when trying to get pregnant. Whether you are already a parent, or you desire to become a parent, RTT can help you in this area, too.

Pursuing parenthood

Are you trying to conceive? Has your doctor eliminated any physiological issue, and you still haven’t been successful? It is possible that the “problem” might lie in your subconscious mind – fears deep within that contradict conceiving, pregnancy or delivering a baby.

Our mind is an interesting and amazing tool and can affect many things in our lives, including getting pregnant. Your thoughts (even unconscious thoughts) can influence your success to conceive. Maybe you think that you are too stressed, too old or that parenting might not be for you even though you are actively trying to get pregnant. Or maybe you are unconsciously obstructed by a belief you formed as a child, when you looked at and understood things about parenthood, pregnancy and delivery of a baby through the lens of childhood innocence (or trauma).

Your mind might simply be trying to help you fulfill all those thoughts and beliefs subconsciously, and you are not even aware that it’s causing a block. This is why, for example, some couples, who cannot conceive and decide to adopt, conceive naturally after becoming parents via adoption. Once they became parents, they started to believe that they can be parents. They have daily proof that they are parents, and they no longer doubt that they can be parents.

Given this, it is appropriate to look into your subconscious, figure out what thoughts are there in relation to conceiving, pregnancy, delivery and parenthood. If the thoughts are negatively influencing your dream of becoming a parent, it is important to change this narrative. You need to let your subconscious mind know that parenthood is something you deeply want. Once you do this, your mind will be in sync with your body, and it will help you to fulfill your goal – parenthood.

You are already a parent

You already are a parent. You love your kids. You want to be the best parent for your kids. However, it is a struggle. You are tired, and you are not enjoying parenthood as much as you imagined. Situations with your kids sometimes remind you of your own childhood. Your kids might trigger emotions or memories that you buried deep down in your mind. Kids are our mirrors. They show us what we need to take care of in ourselves, even though it sometimes hurts.

Is your kid’s behavior emotionally triggering for you? Maybe you feel aggression or despair or hopelessness. Do you feel guilty that you need time off without your kids? Maybe you simply want to be a better parent, and not pass along a bad habit, like smoking.

All these issues can be looked at during an RTT session. Dive deep into your mind, and find out what is the root cause of your issues. By understanding and rewriting thoughts and beliefs you created in the past, and setting up a new mindset and beliefs, you can achieve a better parenthood experience.
